Application
The structure of the floating ball valve is floating. Under the
action of the medium pressure, the ball can generate a certain
displacement and press against the sealing surface at the outlet
end to ensure the sealing of the outlet end.
The floating ball valve has a simple structure and good sealing
performance, but the load of the ball subjected to the working
medium is all transmitted to the outlet sealing ring, so it is
necessary to consider whether the sealing ring material can
withstand the working load of the spherical medium. This structure
is widely used in medium and low pressure ball valves.
Strength
1. The fluid resistance is small. When the valve is fully open, the
cross-sectional area of the ball passage, the valve body passage
and the connecting pipe are equal, and the line is in line. The
medium flows through the ball valve, which is equivalent to flowing
through a straight pipe, and the fluid of the ball valve in various
valves. The resistance is the smallest.
2. Operate quickly, only need to turn the ball 90 ° while opening
and closing, convenient and rapid.
3. The structure is simple, the volume is small, and the weight is
light. In particular, its height is much smaller than the gate
valve and the shut-off valve.
4. The sealing performance is better. Ball valves generally use a
soft, flexible seal.
